Our couple, Angelo and Paula, chose this location when they decided that eloping in Italy is the perfect choice for their story because they wanted to celebrate their love in a unique and adventurous way. They also wanted to have an intimate ceremony that was just about them, their love, and the beautiful nature surrounding them.
After planning everything out with Angelo & Paula, all that was left was for us to show up in Italy and turn all of their wildest dreams into reality. This is definitely one of our favorite weddings so far, so please sit back and enjoy these beautiful pictures of their adventure elopement in Italy!
First Stop: Romantic Engagement Session In Venice
Venice, Italy. The city of love, canals, gelato…and romance. As far as romantic destinations go, you’d be hard-pressed to find a place more ideal than Venice. Venice is best known for its iconic landmarks: the grand St. Mark’s square, the narrow back alleys and canals, the gondolas that dot the water, and the Piazza San Marco, or St. Mark’s Square; which is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Venice and definitely one of our favorites!
The first time we saw it was at sunrise on our very first day in Venice. It was a breathtaking sight as the sun illuminated all of the buildings surrounding the square with orange and yellow light, making it appear as though they were glowing from within. It was the perfect place for Angelo to surprise Paula with a secret engagement in Venice. As they posed for what Paula thought was a sunrise session, Angelo got down on one knee and proposed to her! Paula said yes, and the couple stepped into their next chapter.
Second Stop: the Dolomites - Italian Paradise
Spending three days in the Dolomites was as otherworldly and majestic as one could imagine. Hiking through the mountains and past waterfalls was just the beginning of an incredible journey for this lovely couple.
While hiking through the mountains, they enjoyed each other's company, soaking in the sun and admiring the natural beauty around them. With the stunning scenery of the Italian Alps, they realised that their decision to elope in Italy was the right choice. The two were mesmerised by their surroundings, knowing that they would never forget this part of their one-of-a-kind experience.
After their hike, they got ready for their sunset pre-elopement adventure session at Candini di Misurina and couldn't wait to see what was to come next!
The Lago di Braies was the perfect location for a sunrise session. With the house all to themselves, Angelo and Paula were free to write their vows privately and reflect on their love with no distractions. After writing their vows in the house and sharing their first look, they took an intimate boat ride around the lake, enjoying each other's company in the stunning vistas of the Italian Alps.
A sunset picnic at Alpe di Siusi was the ideal choice for Paula and Angelo. While the trip was a 30-minute hike, it was well worth it to reach the beautiful vista of the valley. The view was adorned with unforgettable huts and Sassolungo mountain peaks in the background. To add to this perfect scene, it started to rain – but lucky for them, they were graced with a rainbow! The couple enjoyed a variety of cheeses, prosciutto, crackers, bread, pie, and a bottle of wine during their romantic picnic, it sounds like a perfect end to an ideal day.
Imagine the most perfect, most incredible elopement you could envision. A gorgeous location, with an incredible view of mountains and all the natural beauty you can think of. Now imagine being able to reach it by a cable car ride. When deciding to elope in Italy, the pros are that many of the locations are easily accessible even if they are in the mountains.
In this very special ceremony, a crowd gathered to watch the couple exchange their vows in front of the beautiful mountain peaks in the Dolomites of Italy. Earlier in the day, there were some clouds blocking the view, but just before the ceremony began, everything cleared out to provide a picture-perfect backdrop for one of the most special moments of their lives.
After they finished saying their vows and kissed at the end, all the crowd just started cheering, it was such an emotional moment, even got goosebumps
Last Stop: Milan - Fashion Shopping Spree Photo Session
As the journey through Italy came to a close, we said goodbye to Angelo and Paula by taking them on one last adventure: a shopping spree in Milan. With their impeccable taste and love for fashion, it was only appropriate that we took them to one of the country's most fashionable cities.
We took Angelo & Paula to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where they were able to strut their stuff and make some last-minute purchases before heading back home. It was certainly the perfect way to end their journey with us!
